Bradley Cooper Lists Venice Beach Bungalow for $2.4 Million

The property was the actor’s first house in the celeb-beloved California enclave

Bradley Cooper is getting set to sell the first property he ever purchased in sunny celebrity hideaway, Venice Beach. The actor first snapped up the 1,571-square-foot bungalow, which features two bedrooms and two bathrooms, in December 2004 for $1,199,000. Almost 20 years later, he’s asking $2.4 million for the estate, the interiors of which have been reimagined in a collaboration between the Oscar nominee and designer Santillana de Chanaleilles.

The duo went for a natural, raw aesthetic, opting for ceilings of reclaimed wood and concrete flooring. Guests to the home are immediately received by the abode’s great room, an open space that blends into the living and dining area and kitchen. Overhanging pendant lighting casts a warm glow onto the massive breakfast bar, across from which a fireplace is nestled into the far wall of the living room.

Large French doors alongside the wall of the combined kitchen and living area open up to a lush garden, a true secluded backyard oasis, complete with a fire pit, built-in barbecue, dining setup, and hot tub—a perfectly curated outdoor space fit for the private entertainer. The exterior walls are wrapped in vines and dripping wisteria. Diana Braun at Compass has the listing, praising the home’s layout as an ideal mix of ample space and seclusion for those with an affinity for hosting gatherings amongst the greenery in the California sunshine.

In addition to renovations to the ceilings, flooring, and outdoor area throughout his nearly two decades of owning the property, Cooper converted the garage into a bonus space with high vaulted ceilings and black accordion doors, leading back out to that verdant garden.

The Venice dwelling is located a stone’s throw away from the Westside’s popular shopping and dining spots.
